I blew the 13 tooth bevel gear in my front diff along with one of the bearings. I just want to know what kinda grease I should use before I put it back together?

Instead of grease, run diff oil. I would go with 5K wt in front for starters.

I agree on the diff oil for sure rather that grease. The good thing about the silicone oil is it's very consistent. When grease heats up, it gets thinner and looses viscosity and in turn it's like running a lighter oil. Hence the truck would handle different at the beginning of a race or bash session than towards the end when everything is warmed up.

How much do I put in? How do I shim them?

You will want to put in enough oil to just reach the crosspins on the spider gears. As for shimming them, it's been awhile since I've owned one so I'll let one of the Savage experts chime in.
