I have an ofna ultra comp with a 2 speed trany, I have a choice of motors to put in,
an orion wasp .28
or a picco .26 outlaw
the orion has about 1 gallon through it the picco has 1/2 gal which one??
this is for a basher/ truck destroyer lol

I have heard nothing but praise for just about any product Orion produces. While I personally have never ran an Orion Mill, I have a Pico .26 on my Mammoth and I have never had any problems with it. I suppose I would be giving a quite biased opinion in saying you have a great choice between the two mill, but I would recomend the Pico.

When you say they both have fuel throught them I am ssuming you are getting them from a member or Ebay or something. Try chatting with the current owners and seeing what kind of shape the two mills are in. Just because they both only have a gallon of nitro so far does not mean they are botth in pristeen shape.
 
I have both in my possesion, both have so much compression that it's depressin lol got the picco from someone on the fourm (lessen) and opened it up and had almost no wear, the orion was installed in the buggy when I got it and it is a horse (actualy 2.94 if I read the review right) just wondering if the .26 is a better engine??

I have had both and would recommend the picco. The wasp was a hard engine to tune in my opinion. Right now I have a picco 27 in my buggy and it screams.
 
Same here, I still say Pico all the way. I love mine and swaer by it.

Screw it, just buy them both and have an extra handy.
 
ok tweak it's all your fault I got both and now I need a new 1/8th buggy roller to put the pico in... he he he I am a bad boy he he he

Both are great engines. I have had two Wasp .28s, and loved them. I will agree with jmarzilli they are not a very easy to tune engine, but when you get it right watch out, tons of power. I have heard no thing but good reviews about the Picco .26, but I would imagine if you can find the sweet spot on the wasp it would give a bit more power. Either engine will make that buggy haul some ass.
