What parts should I upgrade on my Savage X 4.6 to aluminium? I know I should steer clear of suspension components but wondered what parts benefit from being aluminium?

Thanks :)

If you can find them Integy makes a good set of rear hub carriers that eliminate the rear tie rods. The part no. is INTT6979. This is one of very few good products that Integy makes. Usually their stuff is crap but I've had these hub carriers for over 6 months of hard bashing and they are still holding up great.

Alu parts are great on the corners (c-hubs, knuckles etc.) they suck as any impact points (bumpers, skids). You need flexibility for impacts. ALu parts bend and stay bent.

Alu. bulks are great (if you can deal with the weight) and towers are good IMO. Arms need to be plastic. Worst place to have alu. They will bend, destroy hinge pins and damage bulk heads.

x2 on the integy rod eliminators.
