ok.. here are my choices.. a ofna 9.5 with the 25 or a HB lightning with the 21..

i have a savage.. so I'm not new to nitro or anything.. but am looking to try out a buggy now to go with it.. i want the engines to be easily swapped.. this is the 25 that requires mods to fit a savage right? if so does the 9.5 have ability to put my savage right in or do i need to mod things? i have a hyper 8 port race in my savage and plan to buy a picco 26 so i can swap between the buggy and truck all i want, which the lightning i can.. problem is the 100$ differance in cost..

i plan to race it, and bash it. so which is the better choice?

do they sell these in kits minus the radio and engine?

hook me up with some honest flaws and opinions on the buggies of choice..

This may or may not help you in your quest......

I myself chose to go with the GS Storm RTR. It was what the guys behind the counter at my LHS were running so the decision for me was pretty easy. Also, my brother has the OFNA Ultra LX Pro which I believe has the same engine as the 9.5 and I gotta tell you - he and I both are more impressed with the stock GS engine. Also, from a parts perspective, he and I are both new to the hobby so we tend to beat up our cars in the same fashion. The difference is that I have yet to replace anything on my GS Storm and he has replaced knuckles, axles, shock towers, and others.

Also, the GS Storm RTR comes with a decent FM radio and most of my LHS's stock the GS parts. This too assisted me in the decision making process.

There you have it, my $.02.

BTW - Like you I had a nitro truck (T-Maxx) before I chose to go the buggy route. Sadly enough, the T-Maxx has picked up quite a bit of dust since the GS moved in. ;)

Good luck on your decision.

Additionally, I've heard somewhere that the .25 engine is not allowed to participate at some race tracks/races. Something else to consider as well.

You may want to check this at your local tracks.

.21 is the most favourite for racing and the most used (probably) but some races do race .25's
