My bro had stripped the screw on the end of the crankshaft on the stock nitro star engine i couldnt find where to get, anybody know

Jeeez, i wonder if they even sell that as a single part without buying the whole motor. That sucks. In the engine manual that u got with the savvy, does it have a part number even?

do you need the screw or the crank?
either way, just take it to your LHS if you need a screw and they candig one up for you but if you need a crank because the threads are stripped, then they might be able to tap it to a larger size screw.

you mean the pilot nut that holds the flywheel on? if your talking about the pilot nut the part number is
part # 86076 1/4-28x8.5mm

If it's just the screw that's stripped, it's a standard M3x8mm Phillips screw. But check to make sure the threads inside the pilot shaft aren't stripped. If they are, you'll need a new crankshaft. ***All this is assuming he's running the .25 engine***

oh yeah. i dont know where my mind was thinking of the pilot nut. maybe its cause mine came loose this past weekend. it wont come loose now with some lock-tite.

I'll just go down to the lhs tomorrow see if they have it. Its the screw on the end of the crank that holds the clutch bell on. he took it off and in doing so stripped the head. couldnt find it at lowes so looks like he'll be waiting a long time assuming he can get it.
