Taiwan is a sweatshop country now? I thought they were better.

Quick Google AI search says.

For more than three decades, Taiwan has relied on the exploitation of hundreds of thousands of racialized migrant workers from Southeast Asia. These perform difficult, dirty, monotonous, and devalued labor and thereby keep the economy and society running.

I looked into this and it seems to me that if someone works in the manufacturing industry in Taiwan, their terms are mostly on par if not better than US workers:

That’s not to say Taiwan has a clean record when it comes to migrant workers:

I gather there are middlemen who charge for arranging job opportunities, and this gives them unreasonable power over vulnerable people who mostly work as domestic helpers, and in the agricultural and fishing industries.

Overall, it still seems vastly different from China to me. Workers in general have two days off per week and the weekly hours should not exceed 48 hours.

Mine are made from parts made all over the world and assembled right here on my 50 year old American kitchen table!
This is also where my girlfriend makes me ssleep (under the table) while the table is covered in parts!
Coincidently, I've drank myself here a few times too. 🤔😵

I'll bet some of you have the one's built in the north pole by Santa's Elves, that arrived on Christmas Morning. 🎅
Indeed, more than 1 of my rc's arrived xmas mornimg! None were assembled but I knew it was just because all those elves were super busy!
That was ok though because I knew how hard they worked just getting all the parts into the "SXE" (Special Xmas Edition) kits from the best manufacturers of r/c on the planet!
Santa doesn't mess around with no name, imposter gear! 😍😎😁
Santa and those elves are some ok dudes!
