Whaddup guys,

Well,

I just got back from el Hobby store a little while ago. I dropped about $500 to almost finish up the list of chit to have the UltiMaxx.
I wanted to check on the price for the New Siro .27 XL Pro....arbout $417 out the door....ouch.

I want to build a Maxx Ultra light big bore drag racer and I wanted to keep this PIMP'd out Maxx in a small bore. I can spank the arse of many Big bore conversion that I bash with as I know how to drive and that goes a long way...lol.

Full set of MIP "Shiny" CVD's....around $179.00
Sirio .18 3.0cc "Drop in" engine $179.00
Robinson Racing 2.5 High performance Break kit..$36.00
1 Gallon of the new Trinity Monster Horsepower 20% fuel to try out $27.00

I just got my SuperMaxx Gen. 2 WIdetrac Pro suspenion kit in the mail....got it for $179.00+ shipping on sale. I also ordered a full set of RacerX shocks from OFNA and UE. Around $140.

The only thing left to get is a Robinson Racing Slippper kit, Front and rear Bulkheads from RC Solutions. Lost of different clutch bells to play with and a $2000 insurance policy...lol. I also ordered a set of Purple INtegy Piggy Backs from 2Cool RC for $100+ shipping. Am I hardcore?? Yeah, but I know people that are much worse that make less money then I....I don't spend money on chit that doesn't peform.

Peace

Hey bro....are you serious dude....wow. I was joking of course but that's cool.

BTW>.......THe one perfromnace part that I still haven't found for my Maxx is a good alluminum gas tank guard. If anyone knows where a good one could be had I'd really appreciate it. It would have to be either purple, red or silver as that's the basic color scheme of my truck.

Peace

Thanks bro....Damn that's more then I expected to pay but better then replacing plastic fuel tanks. My truck will be all pimped out in silver, purple and Red....not a drop of blue other then the blue alluminum brake thing on the tranny. THe alluminum ones are are nice but way to heavy and you can't c the freaking fuel.

THanks again

Ryan

I called my Renters insurance, and the only insurance they could offer for my may is if it were damaged in the home or if it was stolen..,.

Does that mean I can drive it in the house?:jk:

Thanks NC.....

Yeah bro, .Andoizing isn't very hard to take off. Unless it's "hard anodized" which you don't c very often in this hobby. THe tank guard I've seen from HPI on some of the Savage's look sweet. I'm jealous as hell. I wish somone made one in Titanium....I'd buy it. Hell, I don't like Titanium skid plates but more power to a Titanium Gas tank guard.

Peace

I know this is more than you anted to spend but here is a nice billet gas tank for all of the .15, .25 and sport MAXX. I am thinking of using it in mine.
Billet tank

You can also use Red Devil Lye Drain cleaner. It is in a white red and blue plastic bottle. Just mix it with hot water and it comes straight off. Just make sure you rinse it off as soon as you take it out. I used this to take the anodize of my Team Blue Star aluminum shocks and off my chassis. If you want to anodize it a different color, just take whatever it is and hang it from a piece of metal wire. Then you need another piece of metal. Take a battery charger and hook the positive to the piece your anodizing, take the negative and put it on the other piece of metal and then take both pieces and stick them in the water. Of course use caution when doing this and I am not responsible for someone that fries themselves. After you do that it will start to bubble. Leave it in there for awhile and then take it out. Make sure you have some good dye and then put it in the microwave and get it hot. Take your piece and let it sit in the dye. After that rinse it off and there you go. I did this with my TRX .15 cooling head. I just got a camcorder that I can use to take pictures and I will put one of the finished project in my gallery. It might sound complicated but it really aint if you just take your time and be careful.

I had about $1500.00 worth of R/C stuff stolen from my car and comprehensive covered it. Also any renters or homeowners insurance should cover it. Later

I'm kind of a newbie and my lhs only had purple skids and bumpers and didnt want to wait for polished silver ones...when i read this post i went out out and got some easy off and your not kiddin man...that took that purple crap right off!!!!so i spent the day polishing all my new parts and they turned out sweeeeet! juast wanted to say thanks !!

Wheelin - LOL bro...Easy off is some nasty chit. I still have to "chemical burn scars to this day from easy off accidents in kitchens. Glad to here that his tip helped you out.

NewNitro - I was kinda joking about the insurance policy but thanks for the info man. I'm pretty sure that my home owners would cover me but unless they stil a ton of chit it's never worth making even the most repurtable but still sheister insurance compaines like State Farm are known to drop your ass after one claim. When I lived in Condos and apartments in NYC I always had renters insurance and wouldn't live in an apartment without it. I have a nice car insurance policy but I doubt it would cover my truck if it was stolen out of the car. THis is the main reason that I don't by Fancy field bags that advertise....COME STEAL ME. A good ole cheap duffle bag works great.

Peace

for something as simple as a gast tank guard, goto a welding store/metalshop and get a peice of aluminum and bend one up your self, it wouldnt be hard atall compared to the a center skid i did for my maxx, it was a full skid that also covered the steer servo.
