The MT12 is made for torque ( hence: T=torque ) and has a longer connecting rod. The MR-12 is made for high RPM ( hence: R=RPM ) and has a shorter connecting rod. The MT12 was released way before the MR12 novarossi motor. Track applications: For short tracks, use the MT12. For long tracks, use the MR12. The NS3 novarossi motor replaces the MR12. Hope this clarify things. Goodluck.

Mike Swauger told me this when the MR12 motors came out a year ago. Hey, check out our new forum at www.mugenracing.com. There's going to be alot of people helping each other out who races mugen cars. Tim Long, Robbie Collins, Mike Swauger post on it everyday ?

That site frustrates me. Mugen has a horrible website imo both us and jp. I have see no forums or no help on that site. If you know the secret password please let me know. I have so many questions about my M cars so I would love the hookup.

EDIT

Um guess it pays to look right in front of my face!!! LMAO it's right in the center in red :D :smoke: I didn't remember it because it says new, guess I am Captian Obvious today.

DOUBLE EDIT:

Dude I am so outta here screw you guys, I'm going home.............................

Humbolt! WTF!! lol Bro if u have ?'s about the MTX-3 u know u can ask me. How is it doing?

As far as the Mugen site, it's ok. Doesn't come close to RCNT.

I also have a MBX-5 so it will be nice to ak the racers stuff on both vehicles. Buying come either Fioroni shock towers today or maybe I might get the CMB's dunno yet.

I found out my engine that came with my kit is the MR-12. Or at least the stickers say so lmao!

The decals that come with the kit say MR-12, but the engine that came with my kit was the MT12

I just asked the question about the engine at the Mugen forum. Maybe they can shed some light as to why the 2 different engines.

I had so much fun driving my my MTX-3 today. My engine ran flawlessly and I must have ran it for 12 tanks without shutting it off. It is so fast it is crazy I love it. I put the $15 a pair HPI tires on my rims I got from RAM Tech RC and they are my "drifting" tires as the just spin the entire time. IT's like driving on ice compared to my foamies that came with the kit. With the drifting tires I can pull sick ass in place 360's and switch directions in place. It looks awesome. I just love this car. I will most likey get the new 1/8th scale MRX-4 that is coming out. Throught a Sirio .21 in it and watch out!
