I'm finely able to buy my first Revo brand new.should I run the 18tm right off and not even run the 2.5R motor.I'm a basher and love doing wheelie's.will the Revo wheeli with the 18tm?

I have had both of those motors in my revo and have got them both to wheelie like mad. The TM is way easier though.

The 18tm has tons of power. Don't run the 2.5!

I run the 2.5 in mine without a problem. It's all in how you tune it. Sure the 18's nicer, but it's not necessary right off the bat.

Expecially since it's brand new.

Break it in correctly from the start, then decide if you want more power.

Agreed, the 2.5 is great if you keep it tuned right. It will give you great experience in tuning. I ran mine til it wouldn't run anymore and THEN got my .18TM. Depending on the track, the 2.5, properly tuned, will hang with a TM.

I'm sorry when I said I buying my first Revo I did not mean it's my first nitro.sorry for the miss info.my T-maxx,jato,stampede has the 2.5 and it's nice but I'm tiered of the same old motor that's why I wanted to know how the 18tm would do in the Revo.plus every one say's the Revo is in a class of it's own that's why I wanted to know how the 2.5R did in the Revo.thank's for all the help though

well my friend has a revo w/ 2.5r still in it and he wheelies that monster right w/ my pede /2.5r well not that good but i was impressed for how big the truck is. just run the the stock motor and see how it does then go from there. got a question for you. Does you pede ack the like damn airplane too?! and have you put any weight in the front? just trying to keek mine front end down a little.
lol thanks

i would go with the tm.I've had no luck with 2.5s and i have plenty of tuning experience.they always run hot.

well to be honest with you I want my pede to do wheelie's I built it for my son see he has an electric pede and I have the nitro I don't realy like it but he love's the wheelie's it does. if it was not for that then I whould just off it.and as far as flying like an airplane I did notice it does have a lot of hang time I think that's cool until it comes down and crashes in to a fence post

The 2.5r's carb sucks. Makes the truck not fun to drive when you have to spend all day tuning. Just my :2cents:

so you guy's hate that also.my tune hold's for 1-2 day's then it start's acting up temp goes out of wack Idol goes up then down car shut's off

I would have to retune my motor every day that I used the truck. My rb and os are 100% better.
