I've been seeing a lot of wheel extension kits for the T-Maxx floating around on the web. Are these a bad idea or do people use these often? I would like to widen the stance of my truck, just to keep it from rolling so easily, but it seems like it would be asking for trouble putting these things on.

So what's the verdict on wheel extensions?

I think you would be better off buying wheels with a 1/2" off set which would widen you stance buy an inch, IMO adding wheel extentions puts extra stress on the suspension, and may cause it to fail. you could also lower your ride height a little that helps a lot.

IMO, forget the extensions and get stiffer spring. My T-maxx with the stock shocks and spring would roll over all the time. I bought Integy dark blue (Never bottom out) springs X4 and it rarely rolls over now. I run 4 stock springs and 4 8.5lb springs one of each on every corner and i love it. Only $7

I always thouught a stiffer spring will make it roll over more easily? hmm i dont know

Yeah, I would think a stiffer spring would cause easier body roll.

think about it,u get body roll when ur springs compress stifer springs no roll and as for the wheel extentions IMO no good, they are puttin alot of pressure on ur barrings that can't b good for them. My buddie just got them for his truck and I'm waiting 2 c what happens i have no problems with mine rolling over and his is 2" wider than mine now. But if u want a upgrade to go with get the RPM tru-trac Rear conversion for the tmaxx its a 1/2 inch Wider than the regulare rpm arms, and they eliminate thet rear alignment bar.

the stiffer springs make my t-maxx spin out, not roll over. It's kinda fun and cool to see. Plus if your just a basher like me it's fun to spin out because while spinning out you can hit the gas and peel out.
