I did a search for it, but didnt find anything, but was just curious. What is the difference between the Savage 21 and the Savage 25 besides the mill's? Anything? I saw a Savage 21 today at the pawn shop, and I really couldnt find any differances between that one and my 25 besides the engine. (I noticed the different colored shock springs, but that was it). Again I was just curious (The pawn shop wanted $350 for the .21 that was in pretty tough shape..lol)

the savage 25 has dif mill, pipe, springs, spur size, bones, wheel hexes, tank, and some others but i can't remember

So which is better than? I was just wondring, I adventually want to get a Savage and want the best of them. Isnt there 3 different models or is there even more than that?

Robmod link diddnt work for me

what type of wheel hexes did they have? Just curious. And yeah I guess I noticed the primer tank on it too. This one i saw was pretty beat. I'm thinking it was mostly tar driven but for the most part, I didnt see any drastic changes between the models.

Jesse, The Savage 21 is the 1st one, Then the .25 and the 1st ss kit came out, and then now the k4.6. The 25 and the ss I'm thinking are basically the exact same but the ss is a kit and doesn't come with electronics. And the k4.6 is also a kit, but has the .26 in it and also has the 3 speed tranny in it.

I have the .25 and absolutly LOVE it. I honestly dont ever see myself parting with it. I do dabble with the idea on dropping in a 3 speed though. Something about hearing it shifting gears just does it for me..lol

the hexes just have some ribs on them so they grip the wheels better
look at your .25.. the .21 has smooth face hexes..

4u2nv thanks for the input, I know what you mean about the gears it makes them sound like a little indy car taking off :jet:

What is a good price for a used Savage? I really want to get one, mabe next yr sometime and was just curious.

go with the 4.6 kit and save up for it, i bought one and been driving it for the past week nonstop!

Don't pay $350 for the .21 Savage. That's not worth it. Get a newer one instead

The .21 and .25 pipes are the same, the Savage SS had the ribbed silver pipe and the SS 4.6 has the polished one.

And I agree, don't pay 350 even for a new Savage 21, you can get a NIB Savage 25 for under 400. If you can, go with the SS 4.6, muuuch nicer engine.
