Whats the difference? Savage X

Hi everyone could you swap the stock chassis plates of a savage 25 with the chassis plates of a savage X would this give it a wider lower stance for better handeling. Thanks.

It would lower the CG. And yes, the X plates will fit the older 25 savage, but you will have to use a dremel to cut a couple of notches into the cross bars under the engine (to clear the rear center shaft). You could also be lazy (like me) and buy the braces pre-notched.

Lowering the CG will make the truck harder to roll over in a turn.

arent the X's tvp's weaker. I thought they were bending at the X section when they came out. its been awhile for me tho.

The newer X TVP's haven't had that issue. Of course, it takes a pretty good crash to bend them.

I bent mine But not at the X i bent them under the fuel tank and across from it on the opposite side. I hit a big rock going pretty fast though... But I just bent it back and kept going
