a gas "CAR" average's about $300 bucks for a ready to run with everything you need but fuel glow plug an ignighter extra $50

Electric car about the same but the things you need to run it are mucho$$
depends on if your racing or how fast you want to go.
electric chargers can start at $45 and go up to$200 for a race quality charger.
batteries start at $15 each pack and can cost $85 each pack
speed controls can go from 50 to 175 bucks.
motors can cost from 20 to 80 bucks.
depends what your going to do with it..
they have electric rtr cars for about 300 bucks but not very fast.

They are about the same. A good electric setup is going to cost you more initially. You can get a gas car cheaper, but gas cars usually require more maintenance in the long run.

I race electric and have spent bukoo bucks this season alone on upgrading my stuff.

Pissant what have you spent over $500 on in the last 2 weeks!?? Are you adding on hop ups and aluminum or what? R/C Car Guy is asking which is going to cost more for the initial cost, we don't want to scare him away from this fun hobby with outrageous spending habbits.

a good gas is way more expensive

Have you ever bought a good electric?

its only expensive if you want the best, if you want to race. anybody can get a cheap ass no name basher off ebay. so it all depends on how fast you want to go.
