I'm looking to clean my rig but i dont want to have to take it all apart.. any safe way to clean it with out hurting anything..

So, i could basically, just toss the Revo 2009 in the shower? is the Opti-drive water proof? i know all the servos are, but whats not?i know that its pretty water tight seeing how i drove it into a ditch, and half the truck was under water, but it was the back half. I'd really not like to destroy my truck while cleaning it, ya know?

Well, go with the advice already given in earlier posts in the thread. See what works best for you. Just dont try and wash your rig in the toilet, there may be foreign matter in there.

I'll be doing a carfax on that one.. lol

Non-chlorinated brake cleaner works like a charm. But it has to be non-chlorinated, the other kind will take the finish off of anything and destroy rubber and plastic.

this stuff called mineral oil I'm not real sure where to get but my dad gets it from his work but its made for electrical stuff it disolves as soon as it hits it and works real well.

Dish soap...I've been taking the motor, and the servos off my extremely dirty r/c's. filling up the kitchen sink with HOT tap water and dawn dish soap. This helps break down the oil also. Not quite the shower, but same concept.
