what wrench is needed to take the heat sink off the k46?

i thought and it looks like 2.5mm allen key but for some reason it doesn't turn. it feels like its striped in there. could it be star key? if it is a 2.5mm allen then the person that assembled it strip the heads.
 
I can't find any info on the K46 but I think on the 21 & 25 engines it is a 2mm allen.
 
the 2.5 fits in there but doesn't fit. i hope they aren't stripped in there.

yes it did. i put the 2.5mm in there and it doesn't fit. it feels like it wants to fit,but when i turn the allen key it just spins in the hole it's suppose to fit in.
 
I know this will sound stupid but have you tryed inches(American) size drivers?
 
yep i have a brand new set of allen t wrenches. metric and standard.
