Slapped an O.S. .18 in my 2.5 Maxx.:) First thing in the morning, I'm testing 'er out. The Maxx has the new shafts, carriers and centers. That's about it. How long you guys think the diffs will last? Let's hear some guesses.:) Lil more info: stock gearing, foc and stock tires.

i can't wait to hear how long it lasts. did you have everything to install it? and how did it go?

The install was a breeze bro. I forgot to shim the clutch bell, so I had to pop 'er back out one time for that. Other than that, it was a cake. Racer, you may be onto something. The gear alignment is a bit off side to side, but the bell grabs all of the spur, so we shall see. I'm running the old style slipper still, so it's pretty much lock it and go. I have a new ring and pinion, so I'm not too afraid to push it.

Man this engine runs good. If you adjust a needle, the engine reacts! Not used to that. Of coarse, in my haste, I didn't put any head protection on it. Scratched the crap out of it already.:) Character I suppose. My T Maxx now has nuts to spare.:) Run times don't seem to be affected much. Then again, it's at full throttle a lot less. This engine seems to like to run cool. Smokes like a chimney, and when I leaned it a bit, it started hanging up after high speed passes. So I just put her back. Runs awesome and idles all day.:)
