I guess you can categorize it as progressive metal.

This is a video of John Petrucci from Dream Theater.. One of the best guitarists I've ever seen..

Yep... you would really enjoy Dream Theater... Not really my favorite type of music, but you can't beat the talents these guys have...

Dream Theatre, Haggard, and SymphonyX. All are great bands. SymphonyX has the same sound as Dream Theatre. Haggard has a metal meets 17th century feel.

When you first posted that thread I had never heard of Les Claypool. He's been around for quite a while. Very talented guy. I clicked the vid again. great group of musicians there.

LES CLAYPOOL SLAYS BASS......If you like amazing bass players check out Tom Watt from Firehose...not firehouse....great musician....

:spit:

Rolls BR710 (GV and G550) and Tay (GIV and G450). I taught the BR710 for a short time. I'm mostly avionics now though.

Sweet I work Rolls T-56 all versions, 501D and the AE2100D3; GE T-64, T700 and T701C. On a couple Prats as well but nasty engines. Funny I taught the 56s and 2100s for about 4 years.....good times. To think that the nitros are sometimes more puzzling....lol
