what to buy

I'm getting ready to get it into nitro rc cars and i am interested in buying the firestorm....and i was wondering if u guys had any other suggestions in mind...my price range is 200 to 300 dollars....if the firestorm is a good choice how fast is it?

My first stadium truck was the traxxas nitro rustler, i liked it alot.
its nice to..
maybe check that
or the jato both made by traxxas

If your worried about cost you need to look into buying a duratrax evader st nitro or electric. Its a cheap (price) car. It is backed highly by duratrax and its a great car to learn on

would this put out better performance then the hpi firestorm?...because i can get the firestorm for the same price

i personally own a firestorm 10t. The only thing i dislike about my own is the acceleration. It doesn't do too well on pavement for quick zips but is great for dirt such as in a baseball field. I replaced my clutchbell with a higher tooth count and went straight for top end. Mine does a bout 35-37mph. Its not a bad starter car. I love mine to death.

Evador was my first nitro. Slapped on an O.S. .18 and it hauls ass. Still got it, but not for long. getting rid of all my nitro stuff.

I started off with a used stampede and they were a blast...I have only played around with those and Tmaxxs so I don't have a broad view on the RC world...but I will say that they are fun

i own a firestorm and overall its a great car. i find the gt2 handles better and there is also alot more aftermarket parts made for the gt2(e.g. rpm integy etc ) if u plan to upgrade it later.I've looked all over for firestorm upgrades and they r limited to what hpi makes nd some stuff from neweramodels.com. if i buy another 1/10 scale 2 wd it will be a gt2

For someone looking for a 1/10 nitro thats a silly statement

The Firestorm is good, but the GT2 is by far a better truck, and probably a great choice for you, stay away from the Jato.
Great truck if you just want to go fast, but if you want to do anything with it, then its useless.
