Hi...i'm 13 so I can't drive. I'm going to go to the hobby store in awhile and my parents very rarely take me. I would ride my bike, but I have to cross an EXTREMELY busy road to get there so they won't let me...works out fine, right? Anyways, I just got my car, haven't even taken it out of the box( It's an HPI Nitro RS4 MT 2) and I am going to the lhs soon as I said before. Anyways, I wanted to know everyone views on (1.) what fuel I should go with. (2.) what after-run oil should I go with, (3.) The best airfilter I can get(I've heard that it's a motor saver.) (4.) What air filter oil should I go with. (5.) What shock oil should I go with( weight and type ). And finally (6.) What Items should I get that wear fairly fast( glow plugs, ect.).

I know this is newbie and I do admit I am a newbie to this, so with that being said,

Thanks,
Todd :smoke:

1. I like Blue Dynamite 20%. So long as the fuel you get is 15%-20%, you should be fine.
2. Cheapest, or just use WD40.
3. Why? One you got isn't even dirty yet. Motor Savers are good filters, but why spend money on a part you don't need yet? Are you a racer or just bashing around?
4. Cheapest.
5. Depends on what you're doing with the truck. 40-50 WT is a good starting point. Higher the number, stiffer they'll be.
6. Extra plugs are good. I'd suggest some extra spur gears, body pins, suspension arms and shock towers if the price is right.

Oh, and one last thing. It's never a good idea to call someone out about posting something on this forum that may have been posted on a different forum. The perception it sent was that of some bratty punk, which may be one reason I'm the only one to respond to your post. Keep in mind, the members will gladly offer assistance and answer questions, but start acting like some poser wannabe that knows it all and you'll be outta here like poop through a goose, my friend.

I just don't want to see you go down the road some of our previous, now non-members went down. It was ugly all day and twice as bad on Tuesday.

Enjoy that truck! I've got the older MT and she still runs as strong as the day I brought her home!

oh...about mnm...I thought most of you would know this, but I was just giving him crap(I guess I should have put a laughing smiley behind it). My bad I guess. I'll straiten up.

Blue thunder is a great choice
I use Prather ARO
Motorsavers are nice. But like he said you wont need it for a while unless you are running in dusty con. the stock one is good for now
and Airfilter oil I use Team Associated
when it comes to oils i would drive around for awhile and see if it needs to have thicker oil. you are the only one who can get the correct oil for your style of driveing.
GP, a set of front a-arms and a spurgear. and any thing else that may seem weak.
getting a new car set just right will require a few trips to the hobby shop. (remember their are 2 types of pedestrens. the quick and the dead) so when you ride to the LHS Dont be the dead one.

not that I want to preach advice but you have to think about how other people will precive you on this forum. when talking to someone they can't see you and dont know if you are jokeing or giving them a hard time. you can't tell if I am flaming pissed right now or if I am very happy.
But like he said Dont be that damn newb who is talked about every time he logs on. For selling a lemon engine to someone or what ever it may be.

Good luck

SpitFire- How are you doing with your truck? I've heard stories that nitro engines are a little difficult to tune in and run.

Spitfire, As posted by you on another thread... "I already bought my car tuesday. I bought an Ofna 1/8 Ultra LX Comp...much better than the MT2. Thanks for bringing up an old topic."

What's the deal...Now you have an MT? For a 13 year old who can't cross the street you sure make a lot of runs to the hobby shop to exchange cars.
Are you really looking for help or just lookin to break B#&*@!!
I'm a new-B to this site but not to the hobby and VERY familiar with the MT-2.
Please let us all know as I type slow and dont want to strain my fingers with unnecessary typing.
