Make sure that the esc you are running with lipo has a lvc. I'm not sure if the factory one does.

Congrats on the new rig! The ESC does have built in LVC and should be enabled by default. If you are going to use NiMh packs, you'll need to disable it, and you'll need a Castle link to do so.

I hope I didn't damage anything by running the NiMh packs. I was reading through the manual and your right it does say it needs disabled. And yes it has a LVC whatever that means. I am getting ready to charge my Lipo shortly. Would it damage anything by running the NiMh packs without the disable cause I have no idea to do so.

Not damage, but won't get hardly any run time off of them because they are able to be drained much more than a lipo can. LVC is a Low Voltage Cutoff. It causes the esc to shut down before the voltage gets low enough to damage the spells of a lipo battery.

Thanks bro. I was worried there for a while. I am reading through the Lipo charger manual and am more confused then ever I feel like Dirk a Der this lipo stuff is like Chinese to me. Should I charge the new battery right off or see if it has power in it first.

It is a X1 Hitec AC/DC Input Muliti-chemistry balance charger/Discharger. I figured out the connections pretty hard to screw that up. Just not sure about time settings and heat settings and blah blah so much crap on it.

I'd setup the battery into the charger, then discharge with the charger, THEN balance/charge. It's going to have some charge to it from the factory, but its hard to tell exactly what that is per cell.

I like this one.
