well i finaly got my nitro sport running good. now I'm havng problem with the tires.. they SUCK!! they look like maby onroad treads or maby for hard packed dirt.. they do good on my concrete driveway but on dirt they just spin and damp grass is like ice.. so I'm looking for new ones.. i need something tht will dig and grip.. i normaly run on loose dirt and grass.. i found these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5988689071&category=44028&rd=1
they look mean and have a good price but its 4 of them and my front tires are fine (losi ribbed tires).. so i dont need 4.. anyone got some links to some cheep tires with good lugs on them prefer with wheels.. thanks for your time guys..

p.s. i used search came up empty :(

Those are some mighty aggressive treads.
Don't even think about running them on anything but Loose soft pack dirt or grass. They will wear out quick.

eddy you think there to aggresive?? thats normaly what i run on.. grass, dirt, the road in front is fine gravel and dirt. i would keep the tires that are on it for onroad or hard packed stuff

I think what he was saying is they will work good on those surfaces but if you run them on pavement of hard clay type ground, you will burn them up in a day!! I had some similar to those on my very first Rc I owned, a E Rustler and I used them on the asphalt street in front of my house. After about one day of some hard driving they where like drag slick and bacicaly junk.

I like the tires you found. Those studded tires will do great on grass, but get another set of wheels. I'd still buy the four tires and four new wheels, for a complete set.

i think I'm gonna get one set of those and a complete set of wheels and foams.. i remembered i still have a brand new set of factory rustler ribbed front tires.. so i will have two sets.

Alright... Here is my opinion. The Dirt Paws are gonna wear out very fast if you run on gravel or any surface that has rocks or somewhat hard dirt. The Gladiators are more for racing than bashing... The masher 2000s are pretty good all around, but they will bog your pro .15 down if you dont re-gear. I personally use paddles on loose dirt and grass. They hook up more than enough and they have a fair tread life. Take them in gravel, however, and they will only last about a day or 2 of driving. I have also found that Trac-ta-gators last about the same as the dirt paws. I like the Imex tires... They are a little big. The Imex Swamp Dawg is about the size of the Mashers but they look like a 1:1 Super Swamper Bogger. They do hook up nice, but like with the mashers, you will need to re-gear.

I'm gonna keep the ones that are on it for smooth or hard packed stuff..here are the ones that are on it..

then i will get the paws and 4 wheels and foams.. then i will have two sets of wheels and tires.. one for hard pack/gravel/onroad.. and one set for grass/dirt/mud.. thanks for the info guys..

Simply put, Gladiator IIs are the best basher tire out there. They wear like cement, and work on every type of dirt, grass, asphalt, anything. I've had mine for 2 years now, and they still are in very good shape, and work with whatever I throw at it. IMO, you can't beat a Gladiator for bashing.

For loose dirt and grass I'd go with Step Pins. They really bite, but are intended for racing. I guess you can use them for bashing as well.
I use Losi's silver compound Step Pins. I think they should last longer than Proline's M3 Step Pins.

Yes, because the M3's are proline's super-soft compound, and the M2's are the longer lasting ones and are still soft enough.

link to these "step pins"??
the gladiators have those small studs on them.. thats what i have (kinda) and they wont grip well

i wish i could get "badlands" in st tires.. i think those would hook nicely

You can get the Newera 1/8th scale buggy tire adapters and then buy badlands. Thats what my dad did, only he got moabs.

PiErow, how do the buggy tires work on the GT? Do they hook up better/worse/same? I have some adaptors for the buggy tires... I was thinking of changing to 1/8th scale tires and ditching my others... I know the buggy tires are a lot lighter in weight.

Probably your Gladiators didn't hook up very well because they were clogged up with moist dirt? It happened to me with Dirt Hawgs. Doesn't happen with Step Pins though.

Anyways, there's a guy called demuxtmo on ebay. He sells Losi stuff (and others) at reasonable prices. I bought my Losi Step Pins from him.

The moabs last a lot longer and perform better from what i have seen.
