Went do a loose dirt track and my B/L slash just wanted to fish tail with a little bit of throttle. After some serious carnage I have a few cracked wheels as well. I was wondering what everyone is running on their slash for best traction on road and off.

I'm running the Velineon 3s VXL system with 2s Lipo in my Slash and have no problems with that, have you done anything with your suspension setup at all? If you're not hitting a lot of big air, try moving the bottom rear shock position to the far outside. If that doesn't help, try switching to a single hole piston in the rear shocks and use 35wt oil. I'm using a 4mm preload spacer in the rear as well.

I got the VXL in my slash and had the same problem, after a talk with another slash owner at the track, I purchased some Pro-line Gladiators for the rear. Insane traction. My only problem now is it "Too" sticky in the rear. I can't get it to slide out at all resulting in wide turns because the stock front tires don't get any traction with the added push from the rear. I'm sure that can be fixed with another set of gladiators or some bow-ties.

so Gladiators are good? any others for great traction?

Switch to 1/8th scale buggy tires and the possibilities are endless.

I've heard good things about the Goose Bumps tires, but have yet to try them out on the track due to spec class restrictions in my area. There are also Pro-Line Bow-Ties.
