What should be replaced in aluminum?

i think the squating is caused by the springs being old and looseing there rebound strength over time with the weight of the truck pushing down on them when in storage i know my savage used to rebound back now it squats a bit

the squat is from the stock springs...they are just soft....replace em w/ some integy or trinity springs.....as far as the best aluminum...ACNC is good for the money but heavy...UE is light and strong but breaks the bank....integy is cheap and made to break instead of tearing up your other parts.....Fastlane, AtomicRC make good stuff too......this all comes down to what your wallet can handle...a full UE rig can run about $3k......but it will be absolutely hardcore ass stomping truck.....there's other companies but I preffer tonot give them any help selling there stuff, (search and ye shall find)....RPM is best A-arms/ skidplates/ steering knuckles & braces...the towers are a lil soft but they won't break (just let your shocks flex around).....BTW if anyone is looking for a tranny and a 1/10 scale bulkless setup for the maxx I have em in excellent condition for sale...hint hint.....integy chassis and MSR4 piggybacks too......

Hey plaid you got any tips on springs to replace the stock ones with?

Now does all the aluminum add up to weigh more than the plastic parts? If so, does one need to upgrade to something with a hair more power than the stock 2.5 (.15) motors they come with? Just wondering.

iv seen a few people with lst shocks on a tmax if thats what your meaning

I'm not going to say it can't be done but that would be one hell of a mod to do.....the A-Arms won't fit the shock body through them and they are a lil shorter than T-maxx shocks.....also the LST s a much heavier truck.....for racing apps this would be a bad upgrade...for jumping huge stuff it would be awsome I bet.....
if you want the absolute ultimate shock setup, I found the Kyosho 777 rear buggy shocks ROCK!!!!...I'm using 8 on my truggy and they kick major ass......those and Mugen shocks are the only ones I've never blown a cap off of......the kyosho shocks are a little more volume (larger diameter shock body) but you'll pay serious coin for 8 of em......

I just got a good deal on some Big Bores with progressive springs so I'll see how they work out.

those are a nice set of shocks......easy to work on and you can use the RPM dual stage pistons in em......also the trinity dual stage springs...they rock....

Yeah, I saw that you picked them up on the F/S forum. I was about to congratulate you on the great choice when the thread closed.

Those should do the job for you.
