I am in the process over overhauling my T-Maxx. I want to upgrade the parts that need upgraded with aluminum parts. I am looking for bulkheads and have a set of titanium skids on the way. What else would be good to have in metal and what should I NOT replace in metal? Thanks for the help.

I would personally replace the bulkheads and shock towers and leave the rest alone, its alot cheaper to replace the plastic a arms then the aluminum ones, because we all of had our accidents at one time or another and know what a pain it is to see that kind of money go to poop when you have an accident, just my opinion tho go with what you like and can afford, good luck.

Replace the bulk heads with GA's 7075 bulks.
RPM A arms.
Rock hounds alum.chassie supports.
You have the TI skids..Get the TI center skid.
And get TI hindge pins.
Keep your stock bumber mounts. But get RPM bumpers.
Next get Lunsford TI turn buckels.

One more thing replace all your slide shafts with MIP CVD's and CVA's

I got loads of hopups for your maxx if you're interested....bulkless front and rear.....I agree w/ all the recommendations mentioned already too....RPM arms/knuckles and Bumpers...Mip CVDs (there's a deal on flea-bay for Powerstroke shocks / Mip CVDs AND lunsford Ti Tirnbuckles for 115 shipped

Between that and the RPM arms/ aluminum Bulkheads and Aluminum Chassis Braces you'll have a good start on a bulletproof maxx....

Pit, new or used? If it is used, did the previous owner do any mods?

no its new :( and iv allready started moding it for bling lol.

got bumpers in alm blue uder in blue gonna get some arms .piggys for it.. and allready orderd the rolecage from rcs

new aftermarket pipe

gonna maybe order a os 18 tm for it..

its at the shop right now when it gets home ill take pics of it.. sofar 1 week and i get my 4 cages for all my cars..

poor mini lst forgot to get them cages.. dam.

You might want to check out the Picco Max .26 for it as well. Lots of low end power. Either mill and it will crank!

cool ya the only mills iv gone with is

.os
siro
adem drake
wasp
kinda stuck with the os and traded the others for things..
ya i know kinda seems odd to be only doing this for like 2 months and had that many mills but i drive my cars alot and.. seen had many parts allready.

ill take a look at picco when i go the the track next see if they have one on a dyno i can start up..

As far as the metal parts, what company is putting out the best stuff right now?

The two companies that come to my mind is Inegy and RPM. Now RPM supposed to be really good and they got a limited life time warranty on some if not all their parts. I'll post up what happens when I send them a turnbukle I broke on the Revo. If it was me though, I wouldn't go gun ho right off the bat on this stuff either. I would by some basic goodies but save the rest until you're better with the truck. The reason is, it's like "itsme1" It's easier to replace stock plactis parts than aftermarket parts.

well as far as i have seen.. my intey parts have never broken.. when my rpm parts have.. but its all.. a presonel prefence on what you want..
yes I'm varry hard on my parts.. offten wanting to know why i even bash them..
allso metal parts you can bend back if they bend. that i have done.

sence I'm new to the sport to.. i would have to say go with stock parts tell they bust.. then fix them.. but if you have to and really want to buy parts buy mill and pipe. really get somthing for your money.

Yeah, no plans on buying anything until it needs to be replaced. As it breaks, I'll upgrade. I am looking into a new set of shocks as mine are toast. Other than that, right now I am trying just to get my truck running. As far as a better mill, got that covered with a Sirio 18, but do need a new pipe.

lol shocks well you can go with rebuilds or integy piggys or rebuild high preformance. shocks.

pigybacks spendy but great for bashing about 59 bucks for a set. great rebound best iv used sofar.
stock rebuild with new ends and shafts. about 30 bucks.
i have pics of both on my profile.

Cool. I am wanting an aluminum shock body and cap to replace the plastic ones. I plan on being pretty rough on my truck and want something I don't have to worry as much about. My rear shocks when I inherited my maxx, when I pushed down on the rear and made is squat, it would just stay in the down position. I tore one shock apart and the oil was low and pretty dirty. I picked up some 50 wt oil and cleaned all 4 out and refilled and still does it. Is it supposed to be like that? I would'nt think so but what do I know. lol It is not leaking so I am not sure what to think. I guess I have bigger things to worry with at the moment like getting the thing to even go forward.

There is some people I think who went with just 4 really good shocks instead of the stock 8 shocks. I just can't remember what they use but I'm pretty sure it's not piggy back shocks. As for your Tmaxx squating low and not coming back up, my friends does the same thing but I couldn't tell you if this is typical.
