am after a bonkers race engine for my lst2 . i am very happy with my mach 427 but i want more revs and power . any advice would be welcome.
i also want to use my stock pipe and starter . thanx guys

You should look into an STS 28 or even a 30. I have had both and the 28 has more top end but the 30 has more bottom end.

For club racing more than likely yes. Check with your track and see. I think for ROAR 28's are the Max.

I'd look into a LRP z.28r spec3. All you have to do to get the losi starter to work is elongate the holes on the roto start backplate(the plastic one) slightly. And it runs great with the HT pipe.

whats the LRP z.28r spec3. like ? is any better than the 427?
cool pick

It's a 8+1 port .28. It's got more bottom than the 427, but not too much. And the same if maybe more top(but only by a small margin).

It's a great race engine, and with the HT pipe it gives smooth power with a very linear feel. Very predictable.

I have a novarossi .28 8port and the 3port and I have beat everything i run up against even the lrp, and I was running my 3port that cost right around 225. The engine has sick bottom end. If your track is small and thats the only one you race on check into getting the 3port, but if your track is a nice size track the 8port is the way to go if you have the money. Just my thoughts. Have fun with what ever you get. LST THE BEAST
