Revo=Headake!

This is my first post, and I'm a newbie in trucks. So, i burnt up my clutch shoes and springs I dont know how? I just refueled one day and they were toast :\ Anyway, I sent it into the LHS, they replaced them and tuned the truck up. I got it back and drove it, worked GREAT :first_place: I went out to the gravel pits yesterday with my dad and went through about 4 tanks (we let it cool down 15 minutes between tanks). It was soooo much fun yesterday! Ran like a raped ape! I put it back in storage (my bedroom floor) and 3 hours later i went to clean the airfilter. The truck will not roll backwards and the little black spinning gear sticks and catches. It will roll forward but the black thing doesn't spin anymore:angry: Me and my dad took it apart and check the clutch shoes, all is good. We reassemble and checked the brake. We adjusted the brake and all was good again :celb2: We go to run it 3 hours later and it is WAY out of tune, a brake pad fell off, doesn't roll backwards and sticks when rolling forward. :angry: All i can say is WTF? I dont get how it was fixed, ran AWESOME! Sat for 3 hours and then NOTHING WORKS?!?! PLEASE HELP! :( I'm soooooo dissapointed!

If your brake adjuster is too tight or if you bumped the throttle trim the wrong way, your brakes could be sticking on.

Also check your gear lash between the clutch and the Spur gear. If it is set too tight it will bind up.

I'm new too, and I had WAY TOO MANY problems,, but its an awesome hobby so stick with it.

Oh trust me, i plan on staying in it. I have over $1000 invested in my revo alone :\

Try picking up the front end and pushing it, see if there is a 'clicking' sound. Do the same for the rear. I know when I stripped out my front and rear differentials it made the spur gear look like it was catching, then spinning, but my issue was the diffs. If it is your diffs, the replacement Traxxas parts have a 'stiffener' and since replacing mine, I haven't had a problem.

We took off the transmission and spun it by hand. There is no grinding sound or nothing. Would it still be the diffs? :\

Certainly could be, you just ruled out the transmission. I'm betting that it's likely one or both differentials.

If you find out that one or both are stripped, check out the links below and look around at other shops.
I'd suggest this: Gasket and Diff Housing

Here is a link to the spider/output gears:Gears with stiffener.
