I see where there is an (OLD) Savage an a (NEW) Savage with upgrades.
When buying one NIB-RTR How do you know the Difference?

Actually there has been quite a few different Savages. The original .21 rtr, the SS kit with the .25, the new SS kit with the .28, and the rtr .25. Which one were you looking at?

Not be an ass but the box will clearly tell you. If not then HPIRACING will help you a lot!!

The new .25 RTR comes with 4-Spider diffs I believe, and maybe the new servo saver but I'm not to sure.

Ok,
thanks I intend on buying from bruce....I was just wondering the difference between the old an the upgraded Savage .25 RTR.....

I am looking at the .25 RTR Savage....

The new 4.6 and the newer 25 savages have the new mods. I went to my LHS and the 25 now comes with the Cam type servo saver, 4 spider bevel gear mods that can be found on the 4.6 . Pretty funny how this came out AFTER I got the savage. LOL. I tell ya, never the right time!

Your not the only one. I have already done all these "mods" to my SS already. Can we still call them mods since they are included on the new trucks?

According to HPI Europe: "You can identify the new kits by checking the box for the CE and “4 Bevel Gear Diffs” stickers."

The updates for the new Savage 25 are:

1. Four Bevel Gear Differential
2. Cam Type Servo Saver
3. Updated Throttle Return Spring and Throttle Servo Saver Spring
4. Aluminium Cast Brake Hub
5. Washers on Rear Out-Side Tie-Rods
6. Updated carburettor
7. Updated Engine Instruction
