as for the sevro I am planning on it as well ... $150

for the brakes I've been happy with my hot bodies power slotted vented kit... only $30

You can flipp over with this... amazing braking... you can try the new HPI dual vented brake system... anything is better than stock

A lot of people use the Hitec HS-645MG for the steering servo. Tower's list price is $39.99.

Here is a link.

I am still running the stock brakes at the moment. I was reading on Savage Central that some have just did the throttle mod and by doing this it made a huge improvement with the braking. $8 bucks for the Ofna linkage setup. I am going to try that first.

That is quite the servo blazer. Is that in your buggy? Why does it say for airplane use only?

hmmm that looks like the one i saw @ my lhs, it went for 170 Canadian but airplane use only?

:breakdown

What servo are u talking about TRD ??

Make and model ??

How are the Futaba high Torque servo's?

So if you are not moving, can u move the wheels with ease ???
and does it get more difficult to turn under some load ??? like grass or dirt ???
or is it just as ez ??

dumb ?? i know but I'm looking @ spending alot on a servo
($170 CAN.) and if i can get away with another cheaper servo that performs just as well for the savage, then i'd rather go that way :):alien:

yep I do have that in my buggy along with the throttle servo found here http://horizon.hobbyshopnow.com/products/description.asp?Prod=JRPS8417

These are the best servos I have ever used. I dunno why they say airplane use only? I figured my buggy was in the air so much it would be ok.:hehe:

you can deffinitely get away with cheaper servos. The question in the thread asked what servos are the best, so there are some of the best!

i must have a defective stock t-maxx servo. my stock 2055 is working great for me. when wheels are on the ground they turn perfectly. when driving on track my turnin is so good, all the guys with the hitech servos and all of them are wanting to give me $50 for my stocker???? is there something wrong with mine?

I bought the HS-645MG. I was expecting more of a performance increase out of it. I think the one I really wanted was the HS-5645MG.

20-20 hindsight vision.

Sup guys,

Well meatal gearing and as much torque as possible is the bottom line for a Maxx or any monster truck steering servo...eh.

I went with the HS - 5645MG and it just blows the stock T-maxx sterring servo away. I was also very impressed with general performance with 40 Series Big Joe tires and wheels as that was the true testament to the servos capability IMHO. I also have a kick ass Futaba Digital FM radio now and that definitley helps allot......I was so sick of 27mhz or whatever crappy am.

Plenty

Thx for the Feedback Fellas.

Much appreciated !

Sunny D figure out if you want the best servo for steering or the best affordable one. Give us an idea of how much you have to spend and stop asking the same question. Many people have tried to help you and have given you some great idea's to go on. So clarify your question or take the answers given.

Hey sunnyD,

That's a very vague and relative question. How much money do you have to spend and what kind of performance do you want bro??

Peace

sorry I take that back...
I remember I installed my stock steering servo back from the savage...
the JR steering servo didn't cut it for the savage...
