well i was at the local hobby shop and i was looking at getting soem stuff i needed and i seen a revo there and i have liked the revo for along time but i have to many other very expensive trucks that i race to afford a new one but then i looked and looked and thought to my self its time to have fun wife looked at me and smiled and now i am the proud new owner of a revo fun truck and its not broken in yet but it seems to be fast for stock but let me know whut you all have done to make it fster

hanx me

Congrats on the Revo purchase.

Consider loosing the reverse gears, reverse servo, optidrive and EZ-Start.

Saves on weight which will make it a little quicker.

Have fun with it first though. That way you will be able to get a comparison.

I plan on doing these to my Revo this winter during it's teardown.

DAMN, if I bought something at the LHS every time I got bored, I'd be poor and homeless! Congrats on the purchase.

when I get bored I just play w/ the stuff I already have..........must be nice to be bored when you are SUPER MAXX.....you want to adopt a 33yr old RCer????? I can be bored alot if you really need an excuse to get new stuff :D

FOC if you plan to race, or want more performance. If you want insane power in a drop in mill, get the RB 323. If you plan to race, get an OS 18 or similar. RB 323 is just too much for racing, better for bashing.

Upgrade the shocks and shock ends. They will break if you race or bash.

Add diff lube to the diffs and up the shock fluid viscosity a bit. Keep stock springs for awhile, but eventually get a few other spring rates as you will want to adjust the springs for track conditions.

Factory wheels will not hold up to bashing or heavy racing. Go the Pro-Line 23 mm route.

P2 rockers, FOC (reduces weight and rotational mass for faster accelleration), shock fluid and rod ends (RD Racing..free plug) as RR said, single steering servo, lose the sleazy start (RD Racing starter box...another free plug). If your racing, QuickTurn drive shaft (RD Racing...man I'm whoring myself out). RPM arms front and rear for bashing or racing. Pro-line single steering servo arm. Cut and grind where Slaydens suggests on the revo set-up pages over on the NAZI board. Racing a smaller track or one with more turns, close ratio gears. I'll try and think of some more.

well for now i plan on keeping it stock untill i get my maxx figured out then i will go nuts on this and no plaid i dont need to adopt a 33 yr old when I'm only 24 lol but i will keep tall of this in mind for when i do upgrade thanx guys me

well i broke down on sunday and raced it in the stock class and took home a 2nd place trophy in the a main and had lots of fiun but it still is running really rich temped out at 156 after 10 laps so i can't wait to open it up and see what it really has for power cuz i have a 2.5R in my wifes maxx anmd it halls a$$ well guys thanx for the help

156???? You have a 100 more fahrenheit degrees of power left. Open her up!!!

Hell yeah open that up...you're doing damage by running too rich.......especially w/ a 2.5.....
and I see I guess I'm just too OLD for adoption am I.....well I'll be fine....don't worry about the cold hungry overweight/overaged adoptees you're just leaving behind......don't feel bad about not adopting me.....sniff sniff.....

FINE BE THAT WAY....didn't need your stinking Sympathy revo anyway...

some crazy stuff comes from you plaid but you know maybe the right woman might lift you off your feet and buy you anything you want for the rest of your life (wait thats my dream) well you can dream too

You better lean that 2.5r out some and do it quick, running it that rich will ruin it. My buddy did the same thing to his Jato, ran it rich and just barely got 2 gallons through it until he had to rebuild it.
The 2.5r is a good running engine once you get it tuned right but throw an OS18tm in it and you'll love it.

I'm pushing 280+ after racing. I've been fighting different fuel tank issues the last few weeks and actually have been closer to 300. It's running great, and I have plenty of smoke so I'm not concerned....yet. Anyway I took 2nd in the A main last weekend with a busted front end and leaking fuel tank! I ran 10 of 12 laps with a broken front pushrod. Man was that fun.

Hey Plaid, I always went with the rule, if they would wrestle in a higher weight class than me, I ran, and ran fast.

well id did some suspension upgrades and raced on saturday and took a 3rd place and when i came in it was only running 210 and also wasn't shifting into 2nd but i am looking into a os 18 anybody know where the cheapist thanx
