Hey guys looking to compare fuels, i have always used traxxas top fuel 20% but want to see how the others are, the local shop only sells traxxas and odonnel, but want i really want to know about is torco...Anyone ever used it? How is it?

If theres odonnel's available I would use that over the traxxas, I never realy liked the traxxas top fuel! I run byrons myself and have ran the odonnel and trinity fuels

I have read a few posts somewere that odonnels does not have as much oil but so more wear on engine, but higher speeds.

I had run Odonnels 20% for years until LHS quit carrying it. I have since switched to 20% Black ops blend. I never really cared much for Traxxas top fuel at all. As long as you run at least 10% to 12% oil content if your a basher you should be good to go. I never noticed pre mature ware when I was running Odonnels either.

oh yea def a basher...broke my skid plate last night, wanted to see if i could move a cinder block if i rammed it at full speed....moved the block about 3 feet :P

Hey Hotrod Couldn't resist this one LOL!! Cyber stocker bro!:hehe: Just kiddin. And those cinder blocks can come out of no where :whhooo:

My very first Nitro was a Rustler and after jumping it and loosing the battery box on landing, it sped off full speed into a block wall. The block wall did not move but left the Rustler in ruins. On another note, I went from Byrons 20% to top fuel 20% (was all they had) and am gladly going back to Byrons.

i have ran top fuel 20 percent with no issues. It does get a bad name i have heard guys say they go with another company and get more top end . Idk i never had issues with fuel or even when i used other kinds things never changed to much. I know going from 20-30 and using different plugs did change things.

You guys running Top Fuel (Smurf Juice), if you can switch brands, do yourself a favor and switch...JMHO.

I really do not understand why people make it to be crap. It is fine the issue is if there is any most people do not like traxxas pushing there stuff on you after you just spent 400.00 on rtr. It is like hey you have to use this in our motors and for a new guy they get scared and they do. I hate that but imo there fuel is good, i never had a issue and lets be honest support your lhs and buy what they have and if it is top fuel i would do that. I did

I buy it, because that's what my LHS carries. I've got 3 gallons through my engine and its still running strong. Whats wrong with that???

i never had issues with top fuel, i support the local guys as much as i can. If it buying fuel, after run oil, air filter oil and tires etc threw them i do not see a issue spending a dollar to a few dollars more threw them. I am going today to buy my first nitro truck threw them.I am getting back in to the hobby and they have a used tuck . I hope they treat me right

I have been running Cool Power fuels. Never had any issues and the LHS sells it. It is a synthetic fuel so it is about $18 per gallon. I like it but someone else may not. I believe that a lot of the choice is more personal preference than anything else. Shaun
