what first? savage 25

ok i just bought a used savage 25 off ebay and it arrived today. i'd like to know exactly what to check for and what to do before i start it up. thanks.

Check all the screw's,see if there loose. Check all nut's and bearing's. Check everything that move's,Like the diff's clutch that sorta thing. Then go through and clean the airfilter and flush the engine. That way you should have everything ready to go.

Check the Gear mesh, Plug, and Fuel line as well.

How much experience do you have in RC? How much with nitro engines? I would recommend taking apart the truck and inspecting, and clean while your at it (bearings, diffs, re-oil everything) Then for the engine take it apart, flush it out and seal it up. I think you should be good to go then. Also, make sure you have full batteries and that your fuel tubing and fuel tank doesn't have any air leaks.

Spur gears, one way bearings and glow plugs are something to keep extra.

Anything used, I woulld take it apart and check everything. Unless you got it from a person you trust than check everything and leave nothing to be assumed ok.
