Hi I'm a revo owner form the UK and want a bigger powerplant just for bashing around with. I've looked a few engines and think i've narrowed it down to three options.

- Trinity Sirio .23 9 Port
- RB Concept TM323 .23 5 Port
- Ofna Picco .26

I'm relatively new to this but want something with plenty of power thats gonna also be reliable.

I read this forum pretty regularly and would appreciate some advice on this.

Thanks

Lakie

I am not familiar with the Trinity mill, but I have the RB TM 323 set up. Wickedly fast and lots of low end grunt. If you plan to mostly bash, great set up. OK for racing, just too much torque for small tracks. Wheelies too often for racing!

Second place would be the PIcco. I run one on a T-Maxx. Real peppy, wheelies the crap out of that rig.

Yeah the RB is prob top of my list at the mo, coz it comes with the header, pipe, mount and carb. It also works with the easi start stystem.

Only prob is that i've read on the RB forums that a lot of people have had probs with it leaning out when the tank starts to get down to 1/2 full??

ANyone heard of this b4?

my question is if its a basher why dump in a big money motor if you plan on putting this thing through the ringer why risk ruining a high end motor buy a sport type big block they have plenty of power and cheap get like a mach .26 or the ofna force .28 both those mills are power house and cheap under 150

Doesn't matter which mill you have, most engines in a Revo experience 1/2 tank leaning. Just add a longer pressure line or put a fuel filter in the pressure line. This will increase the volume and smooth out the pressure waves into the tank. I have about a 9-10 inch piece and it solved the problem instantly.

Just want to double check this before I mod the wrong thing ;) The pressure line is the line running fromthe exhaust to the tank right? Also, where can we find us some extra pressure line to extend this with?

Just one more small question, does the Revo need all that fuel line it comes with?

Thanks
Ray

yes all motors will lean out a little bit as fuel in tank drops but if tuned correctly you shouldn't notice a big difference maybe 10 to 20 degree difference from full tank of fuel to almost empty but as stated in the previous responce a longer pressure line helps with that problem but don't go to long more than 12" pressure line and you start to lean the midrange affect 8" to 12" is fine

I have some info that I can't talk about yet, but don't rush out to buy a mill just yet. I have a feeling that another "race only" mill will be on the market shortly.

As to the leaning, the Revo is prone to having half tank or less leaning, but the cure is easy.

Right now with my RB I am getting a bit of off throttle RPM sruge due to lean vapors remaining in the crankcase. i think I have it sorted out but I haven't had the time to run it enough to really see if it is gone. This is not an issue unique to RB mills.

As to the comment about cheaper mills, take for example this; The RB kit in USD is 219.00. It comes with the motor, mount, header, pipe, coupler, and all needed hardware. In other words, it is complete.

After you spend 150.00 USD on your bargain mill, you still need a mount, 25-50.00 USD, header and pipe, 35-60.00, plus hardware, 10-15.00 USD. You just hit 220.00 USD, on the low side, son.

I own two Revo's one equipped with the TM323 and the other a 18tm.

Both are great engines but each is totally different.

I like to think of the 18tm as a turbo charged 4 cyclinder and the tm323 as a v8 muscle car. Both engines will propel the Revo at satisfying speeds but the feel and sound is unique to each engine.

The 323 is an easy engine to tune (unlike the trx 2.5r) and any wheelie problems can be fixed with a simple gearing change (most run 16/36 as do I)

The fact it comes as a complete matched package and drops directly into the revo is it's greatest selling point and bang for buck you can't go wrong.

As for leaning issues, the lengthened pressure line/filter works well.

Praytell border guard! Watcha got, huh, huh???? Tell me! You can PM me and then post you sent me a pm and keep the others wondering!:wasted: J/K really though, I'm interested!

Shoot, VB is soooo far north in the Maine tundra he probably grabbed a few of Santa's elves when they tried to cross the border on the way back to the great white north pole and has them tinkering with a mill in his garage. I can see it now, the sounds of little voices and small hammers hitting small anvils and vises coming from his car barn!!!!

lol nice one revo rancher nice name must be a red neck racer farm boy huh lol just kidding he that rb deal with kit that is a steal for 219 with pipe and header and all is it some type of promo to get them out there or this there regular price. by the way whats up with the slamming i never done you wrong

Right thanks for the advice i think i'm gonna get the RB motor. All i need now if for the guy on ebay to reply about the damn carriage!!

Mailed him 4 times, maybe he can't be bothered to ship it to the uk?
