what do you guys think of twins?

they are hard to keep running, both engines have to be tuned perfectly or you dont get the effect because one engine is pulling and the other is free spinning. they look and sound wicked but for a novice i would not recommend it.

I've had a chance to play with a twin engine tmaxx. I hated it. Guy offered it to me for $300, after 5 minutes behind the trigger, no thank you. Tuners nightmare.

i agree, they sound awesome, but man, its hard enough to tune one engine
rc car action did an article years ago about a twin tmaxx, they said to start one engine, run the truck around to get it tuned, then do the same with other engine, too much trouble for me, but hey, go for it, and let us know how it turns out

well could i just tune 1 engine at a time? i mean how would you go about tuning two engines?

To function properly, both mills would need to be tuned exactly the same and always be turning at exactly the same RPM.

IMO, a twin engine nitro is a waste of time and money.

If you are truly interested, there are a few conversion kits already on the market. No need to reinvent the wheel.

Well, depends on how you plan on setting it up. 2 engines on one spur......... one engine each axle........
