Other then the usual tools. I was wondering what kind of spare parts or special tools you guys are keeping (or would like to) in your toolbox. I'm new to HPI and the Savage. I've read it one tough truck, but it's nice to have some backup parts so the whole days isn't a "bust" when something..... For a couple of my rcs that's almost a complete roller in spare parts. LOL

This is what I was thinking about starting to accumulate for my Savage box.
13t bevel and set of spiders for the diff.
A different size spur and clutchbell.
Clutch pads springs
Hexs, Pins, and Nuts (not Planters)
One or Two stock shocks
Dogbone(s) (not the raw hide kind)

leatherman WAVE

if you are sticking with stock diffs then a spare setup might not be a bad idea. buy a full XSS assembly on the bay and use it for parts.

I generally find a spur/cb combo i like and just get a few spurs to change out as they wear.

i replace the clutch springs when i replace the clutch. those are easy to lose.

stock shocks are cheap and easy to stock, same with dogbones.

Hit ebay or savage-central for those parts. you can find guys who upgraded and can generally get their used stuff for the cost of shipping

Q-tips, cleaning supplies, wax and Armoral.

Thanks for savage-central tip Flm.

Rolex - I am new here but I can already see the light. Going to need to be prepared with some sunglasses for your pictures. I am not talking about the dark tan ncnitro is ribbing you about either. lol I know a user at rcm that has the same, we'll just use "passion" for clean rcs. Always shinning and in immaculant condition. Even the very next day after a extreme bash session I've been told from a reliable source. I've recently discovered some mothers alum polish. Stuff works great but it is unfortunate for my rcs that I do not keep up on them as well as you do.

It's easy to keep them clean like Rolex, don't ever expose them to fuel, dirt, or even dust. :D What you see there is a virgin Savage, it has not, nor will it ever taste a single drop of nitro fuel.

And judging from your deep dark tan, I would also say sunblock 1000 :D

LMAO!!! Hey, gimme' a break. I'm a blonde Norwegian, and the picture was taken in the winter. Wait till the end of the summer and you'll see......uh.......well......probably no change.

I'm a Blonde Norwegian also, we do tan up nicely. It's a curse we're forced to live with.

Looks like I will need to add some bearing to that toolbox list. Thought I had the majority of them already until I came across the 6x12x5mm. Got every size around that buy not that one. Add some brake pads to the list also.
