except for the electronics what other things do i need to build the savage ss does it come with a air filter, fuel lines, glow plug and little stuff like that?

It comes with one, but get some extra glow plugs. You'll probably burn at least one out during break-in.

It does have an air filter and fuel lines. I'd suggest getting a fuel filter of some kind.

What else do you need to know??

Get some quality allen wrenches. The ones usually included in the kits aren't worth thir salt.

Like diver said, a good set of wrenches is a must. Also, if you have the extra $$, I would switch out all those crap phillips head screws with quality hex head screws. You wont be sorry you did.

thanks for the info guys robmob wasn't it you that recently built the ss kit how was it and how long did it take u?

Yes it was. It took about 8 hours of total build time and I enjoyed every minute of it. It would of been done faster if it wasn't for some of the mods I did like the 4 spider in the diffs and the MP steering mod. I did a little dremel work during the steering mod to increase the throw in both directions.

I thought the build was quite easy and enjoyable. The instructions are good however look at the pics closely because there are very few words in the instruction manual to explain the steps. Aside from what others have allready said, I would get a Motor Saver filter because the stock one is pretty small for the .25 and will get dirty very quickly. Also I would buy a 3 or 4 shoe clutch because the SS comes with a 2 shoe. It isn't a big deal but my stock 2 shoe has started to crap out on me and you might want to just put a better one on it now while it is all apart.
