I just wanted to show off the latest incarnation of my 4908 maxx. I've been reading up and looking around at ideas and settled on this. I still need to sort out some running of wires and fuel lines but I love this linkage setup and I now have much better access to the engine. All you'll need is a piece of linkage with threads on the end, a power switch, 5 cell pack and an Ofna violator tank. The tank is optional as is the picco.

I'm going to try something different with the steering servo mounting and strap my battery sideways to a pair of extra throttle servo mounts I have. Or I might find a hump pack later on. Hopefully this will help keep the weight distribution good from side to side.

the traxxas 5 cell hump pack will fit directly into the stock battery box

Yeah I know. I don't know if I can fit the box to my chassis now though. I don't drive in snow or water anyway so I'll probably just zip tie it to the chassis right there in the middle.

Here ya go Steelcity!

I made it work, and I'm glad I did. I had to use the servo mounts from a revo, broken in half, and a little trimming on the battery box, but it works. I don't think I've upset the balance of the truck too much, but I'll find out this spring I guess. I wanted a little more weight up front and a direct-pull throttle linkage.

Still waiting on a new pack and 3034 switch, plus I might flip my tank cap around the other way.

Wow thats pretty cool never seen a truck be reworked like that. I like it! did you use eexisting pre drilled holes or did you have to custom drill holes to make everything work?
