what brand fuel do you use?
I'm gettin an epic .18 for my maxx to replace the trx.15 and i was using traxxas brand fuel, is there a better/more economical/cheaper(but still quality) fuel out there?

myabe trinity monster?

whatever i get it will be 20% nitro
thnx

I use trinity monster, 20%. Nothing bad to say about it. Haven't had any issues using it either.

I'm also thinking odonnell its a close tossup between

odonnell.......trinity.......sidewinder(basher blend) WHAT TO PICK help!!!

I use to run the Trinity Monster 20% in my Maxx. Now I use Byron's 20% and I feel it runs better on it.

i use trinity monster in my maxx...never used anything else..runs good for me..I am happy w/it.

i wanna use odonnell fuel is it good????????-xmas- :dancin: :ale: :normal: :eyepatch:

i use Blue Thunder from dynamite and can't say anything bad about it been usin it for a while too

Use what is available at your LHS. Any brand name fuel that meets the factory requirements of your engine will work. People have preferences on fuel but you should find what works best for you. Any of the above mentioned fuels are good. You may want to also include Traxxas Top fuel to your list. Its a great fuel for beginners.

yea I've been using traxxas fuel, it good i guess but 30 bucks a gal at my lhs

Is it really true about the TOP FUEL brand is "Specially " made for the 2.5? I am not sure but the DVD says to use that. I know that they are probably trying to just get us to spend more towards their benefit....Bastards. I am using trinity 20% on all my other mills.:D

I have used Blue Thunder at 20% (Smurf Juice as it has been referred to...) in all of my engines. They run well and rarely have problems...related to the fuel. I do know that the Blue Thunder does tend to run a little cooler than most fuels and it has got a decent oil content and is chemically set up to give the novice user an easy tune for the engine. I would recommend this fuel.

Really? It runs cooler than other fuels? How does it compare to the Traxxas TOP FUEL? They say it was made for the 2.5. I am not too sure. Thanks SKY MAXX. BTW your vid I saw is AWESOME!!

I honestly can't say how it compares to TRAXXAS Top Fuel. Why? Because after purchasing my T-Maxx, that was the last TRAXXAS product I ever purchased. I never used their fuel and have replaced most of my T-Maxx parts with aftermarket upgrades.

As far as fuel goes, every engine manufacturer out there is going to push a particular brand as being "made for our engines". The bottom line: find out what your LHS has in stock and regularly supplies. Get one that works for your engine. Learn to tune your engine to your fuel. If the LHS doesn't stock your preferred fuel, you may have to try another flavor or buy online (which I hear is really expensive due to HAZMAT fees and such).

Glad you liked the video...which one did you see? (I'm between servers at the moment and can't remember which ones I have up at the moment...)

I KNEW IT. I still bought it since I can get it at 3 shops. bit pricey but I want to try it. Then I can do a review on it.

I think the VId I saw wasat some dirt ravine with you and some other member . I hope that helps. Never the less IT WAS AWESOME!!!:w00t: :winnar:

Must have been the Mountain Climbing one...that day was a blast. Glad you liked it.

Let us know how the fuel performs. I'm sure we are all interested to see if the TRAXXAS hype is worth it...but I can tell you this, most of the hardcore RCNT members could care less about TRAXXAS fuels or their hype...

LOL I have heard more than I wanted to about how TRAXXAS is more hype than they claim. I guess I will make that judgement. I will let you know! Thanks Sky!!!

:D

An honest and non-biased assessment of anything is always a good thing. BTW, gallons of nitro are usually running between $18 and $35 depending on brand, nitro content, and where you buy it.

I get the Blue Thunder for like $27. I can't remember the exact cost as I usually buy a couple of gallons at a shot and that usually lasts me for a month or two.
