Wow, vague question of the year right there :haha:

I can't say from experience, but according to statistics they are great racers if you intend on taking it to the track. A lot of people will tell you that the Revo is the best all around monster truck out there. Durable, well handling, great parts support. All in one package. If I didn't have a TMaxx I'd buy a Revo no question.

They are good for racing and they hold up pretty well to bashing as well but I would say it would make a better racer then any thing..

+1. The Revo is a great all around rig, not the toughest basher (the Savage is probably the most durable) but it can be an awesome race truck. I've beat the crap out of my Revo, bent a couple push-rod ends and actually bent a push rod, all of the repairs I've had to make can be attributed to my lack of driving skills :D. Although as I've gotten better at handling it, the less breakage I've experienced.

well i got 1 today it was used to its fullest having tuning prob and reverse doesn't work anybody no y

Is it a new Revo or a used one? If it's used, the previous owner may have removed the reverse. It's a common thing for more experienced drivers to remove it, especially racers.

If you're having tuning problems, sometimes it's easier to set the needles back to factory settings and start from there. Do you have a hand-held temp gun? You really need one to make sure you're keeping the temps in the right range.

ya it was used wen bought i did find a gear in the tackle box it came with it was just a gear with a shaft i did set it to factory setting i thank the real prob is the o ring on the tank is bad and has a leak

also how is it a 1/10 scale it could run over my 1.8th withount a prob

The shaft with the gear on it, that is probably from a FOC (forward only conversioin) that was done to the rig. Look at the front of the transmission and see if there is a single metal bar going over to the throttle/brake servo. If there is only one that means that the FOC has been installed. You can also open the black plastic box (the one on the engine side) and see if there is 1 or 2 servos in it.

If the O-ring on the tank is bad, definitely get that replaced before trying to tune it, you'll go bonkers trying to tune an engine with a leak in the tank.

there is a reverse servo i tried it
wen i put in reverse it somtimes jump forword or jump back

The servo may be acting up. You can try removing the screw and pulling the horn off the servo. Turn on the Tx and then the Rx, then put the horn back on the servo. This can work for other servo's not sure about the forward/reverse one though. Then try shifting between forward and reverse. If it appears like the servo is working properly, it might be a problem in the transmission or possibly the Opt-drive system. I removed mine about a month after I got it and didn't have any problems prior to that, so I didn't get real familiar with the that part of the system.

y dont you get more familer with it so i dont mess with mine lol

:hehe: No thanks, I removed it and will never install it again. I figure the opti-drive system reduces the run time and with the FOC installed, there is 1/3 of the moving parts in my transmission now. Less parts = less stuff to fix.

I've had my revo for about six months and I love it. I bash it more than race its very durable. My suggestion, when you buy it upgrade the A-arms and suspension arms. These tend to break.

Every one loves revo! The people that know what they are all want one, the people that got one love em. they can make good bashers if you beef em up (arm conversions) as everyone knows they are great racers, and you can even get into some crawing type stuff with the long travel rockers. I've have had few other "trucks" 2wd and 4wd not only can my revo whoop their asses I've lately been whooping on a buddy of mine on pavement with the P3 rockers, he drives a rs4 (although hes not that good at the driving part)
