ok what are the best servos for the steering and the throttle for the savage. I want the servos to be plastic and not metal becuase one of my jr xs3 servo was metal and it caused all this glitching, so right now i am using a plastic one. thanks and can you please list a link if possible.

This has nothing to do with this thread, sorry in advance. Hey pissant, when you start to break in your engine double check your hsn stem. I know in one of your threads you moved it so the fuel line was away from your engine. Mine loosened up after the engine heated up and cooled off. (Expansion and contraction)Just a heads up for you.

probly if u do a search, u will find tons of threads that have been answered.

IMHO i like the Hi-tec 645 for both steering and throttle. yes its metal geared, but i havent had a glitching problem. maby it was the connections with urs. As far as what is the "best" servo, it depends on how much money u want to spend, u could spend $200 on a digital servo, or $50 for a servo that still works good. its up to u.

If you want a good throttle servo than the standard SF2 servo that is currently in your rig for steering will more than adequately do the job. Are you sure it was the metal gearing or was it the servo itself having electrical issues. You should have gotten that servo covered under JR warranty. I have a JR XS3 for my savage and am running a Hitec 945 It is hella fast and has tons of torque. Pissant are you doing the Monster Pirate Mod while you have all of this apart or no??? It is a great time to do it. Here is a listing of all current Hitec Servos
