I want to get rid of the 3 springs clutch

is the werks clutch with 4 carbon shoes alright ?

how long can you drive it without checking out for wear ?
is it easy to tune ??

any other clutch that's easy to assemble and use ????

Depends on how tight you clamp the spring down. I know mine are worn as they are in my savage. Carbon shoes are the more durable type. THen you have the Rulon and teflon ones. Are you racing or bashing?Carbon ones would be best for bashing and the rulon ones for racing.

I don't know about rulon but the teflon ones seem to last the longest in 3 shoe setups.....they just give a real crappy hook-up......

to expand clutchbearing life woundn't it be a good idea running-in the engines on a normal clutch
first tanks idling, without the bell/shoes/bearings just the flywheel on

that way more than half of the clutchbearing life could be safed
or is this not so good for the engine, running it without any resistance

First off running any tanks at idle is a wase of time/money/engine life. If your temps are not up to 200* you may as well turn it over by hand.

Running the engine with out the clutch bell with no resistance is not good for the mill either. It will allow the mill to wind out to no end. Break-in your engine in your car.

they are great clutches, just make sure that you locktite the adjusting nut in place real well. i killed a set of rulon shoes in my truggy in 2 heats because it tightened up, causing later engagement.
