Went Fishing

Sorry no pics here. I went to Cane Creek this weeknd. I started off bass fishing and gave up an hour later. I headed back to camp, ate, and made smores. I notcied(i could see the lake from the camp) that these 2 people had stayed out there the whole time, so i knew something was up. Nitro-basher and i walked down there to see what was up. I asked what they were catching and they said CARP. Well it was the first time i had seen someone fish like they were. The had 6 poles set up w/ clickers on drikin a beer. I heard one start clicking, guy jumped up and reeled him in. It was the biggest fish i had ever seen in pearson! I was like "what a cowinidence(so?). Then 2 more went off. He told me to reel it in, man it was fun!I asked what he was using for bate and he said gritz (ask if you want to know how). We were catching fish left and right (10lb carp and catfish) No more to stay i stayed out there until 2am on friday, woke up at 6:30 on Saterday, and stayed out until 10:00pm. Saterday as i was packing up to go to bed, i threw the fishing stuff in the back of the truck and rolled the window up part way with the three poles hanging out the back. Well about an hour later i went to get food out of the truck, turned the key the wrong way, and rolled the window up not down crushing my pole and one of nitro bashers, fiddlesticks. Our poles were too small for carp so it didnt matter then. So today i made a trip to bass pro shop. I got Abu Garcia Ambassador 6500 C4 w/ an ugly stick. And 1 more ugly stick because i snapped nitro bashers in the car window. Just though i would share.

The setup you got is fine for carp and cats. I have an ugly stick and Ambassador for striper fishing. We look at carp as junk fish and kill them. They are a great fight.

I too went fishing recently. We went fishing out on Lake Michigan and caught some good 6-8 lb king salmon. It was insane the way the guy had them on our boat. He had EIGHT poles out all at once, 6 w/ riggers and the other 2 w/ planks. It was especially great once night time rolled in, we were near the shore, then as soon as it got dark, they started goin off like crazy.
Lol, and there was a little 6'' fish that bit one of the hooks on the riggers so we never even saw it go off the fish was too small. And what ended up happening, was a much larger salmon took that little fish on the line as bait, and ate the little fish, and ended up getting the hook caught in it as well. Anyway, that fish was about 10lbs, and at least 2' long. Lol, it was half my brother's size.
How did we know this went on you ask? Well, when the guy filayed the fish afterwards, and when he did the big one, we saw the little fish inside it, and we could see the the line went through the little fish, out the side of it, and into the larger fish. (The hook was so deep, we had to cut the line)

(we were on a charter type thing, because we cannot afford a $60k+ boat that is required for that type of fishing... :arrr: )

Good story. Glad you went catching, instead of fishing. It's a little more fun that way.
