I broke the steering saver and bent the main drive shaft... least now I can't justify working on it again, lol. No fault to Rlaario for cheap parts or anything like that. Smacked a fully loaded trash can at top speed 😆

Ah, so you decided to do a resistance test... with a garbage can. Well, at least now you know who would win in a fight between your vehicle and a full garbage can. 🤣
I wouldn't recommend repeating the test with a brick wall

I didn't even mean to. Got distracted by the dogs. I'm hoping this is all that's broken on it, lol. Already got the replacement parts ordered. I was expecting it to cost a decent amount, but for the steering saver and driveshaft, it's only $32. I ordered an aluminum steering saver and a plastic one to keep as a backup, lol.

Check the chassis real good. Sometimes cracks like to hide from ya. Glad that was all that got broke.

Ima check every thing real good when I pull it apart, @WickedFog. I'm sure I'll find some thing else that's broke, lol. The good thing though is that Rlaarlo has all the parts labeled nicely and all available on there website.

it looks fantastic!!!! a little crash builds character. that rc has a story to tell now, hows working on one go? I've not gotten a rllarlo yet but a few i really wanna get,
I honestly haven't worked on it yet. It seems like it's gonna be easier to work on than my Hyper Go though. I'll post updates as I go.

And was this a full on frontal assault or an offset type of collision?

Seems pretty serious if it bent the driveshaft.

The reason I'm asking those questions is my soon-to-be four years old twin grandsons have wanted to drive my trucks but they still have a bad habit of running full speed into stuff, like sidewalks. I haven't let them drive my trucks as they have their own to break.
Was this just a random hit?

The track we run on is shown in this thread:

You can see the immovable sidewalk to the right of the track.

That's a normal day of bashing for me.
I thought garbage dumpsters made excellent racing cones.
And legs! Don't you be getting all modest now 😆

Full frontal assault lol. Hit it probably doing around 45 mph. And i don't know if you are in the market for a new truck but this one is awesome man. It has a setting on the receiver that lets you set the maximum speed. When I let my niece play with this one, I set it to about 20-25% power.

Right knob controls speed and left knob controls steering.

Bit of an update. I got the drive shaft straightened out and fully functional by beating it with a flathead and a hammer... 🤫But the steering saver.... how important is that? The truck drives perfectly fine like nothing is wrong. And I'm also asking because I can't get these screws to budge. They are not stripped... but they are not coming out either. 😅

Ouch! I did that once with my Typhon, full speed into a concrete base of a lightpole. At first thought all was good then started finding damaged parts one at a time. Still can't believe how much abuse these things can take, but sometimes the get hammered just right. 🤷‍♂️

I guess knocking your sister on her ass is a rush because she keeps asking when we are going out to the sand dunes again.
