Well i'm striping my t-max all the way down for cleaning and winter storage. i would run in the snow, but don't look like there will be snow. well any ways i striped the heck out of my screws holding the top of the bulkhead to the chasy. How do i get them out?

Your Friend,
Mr. PinPoint

post script: Sorry about my grammer and spelling i am LD and I'm not kiding. :hammer:

The easiest way that I have found, & worked every time, was using a dremel.
Use a fine cutting wheel in a dremel to cut a slot across the stripped screw head, so that you can then use a flathead screwdriver to remove it. You might mark up the chassis a tad, but nothin too horrible... Be VERY careful if you use this method... Use eye protection. Those cutting disks like to shatter sometimes... I have pieces stuck in my ceiling to prove it... This method does work very well though.

yea i had the cuting well break on me once. I pretty scary how it gust shatters like that. Thanks for the help. But if any one else has an idea that is less likly to f up my chasy even if it is just a little let me know. No offense imbroken. Gust want to keep my car as perfect as possible......by me.

what if i used the engraving tool insted of the cutting wheel. I shouldn't scrach my chasy right?

Sears has the Screw out bits but not sure if they will on a screw that size. I would go with IMBROKEN's Idea.

If you don't want to use a dremel (witch I whould) Then go And buy A left handed drill bit 1/8 work good on most small screws. But be very carefull when you start to drill even down pressure and very slow to start.when the bit starts to back out the screw..put to the floor lol..

i guess i shall use the almighty dremel. I love using that thing anyways.

Has anyone tried to use there dremel to mafe fine scraches on the surface witht the stell brissles and make circuler parterns like on bused steel?

I did my old T chassis like that but it was alum. I think it would work on steel just fine.

One other Idea.. same exact problem same exact rig. What I did was take a drill bit the exact same size of the screw head.. maybe just a tad smaller.

I drilled until there was barely any head left on the screws.

Then I took a chisel to pry with and pryed inbetween the chassis and bulkhead

The remaining parts of the screwhead just popped right off.

This left stubs instead of screws sticking out of the bulks. I just used vice grips (so they wouldn't slip) and unscrewed them without heads on 'em

I had an aftermarket chassis and just didn't want the slot demeled in..

well i did it. The pain The pain. oh the pain. The is schraches on my chasi. The kinda deep. Oh the pain. Well good thing it is done. I finaly got it out.

i tried the brushed look on my stock chasy. well now it looks like tie dye. You could proboly guess why.
