So I got the Tmaxx I picked up for 50 bucks. Got it tuned up and ran about 8 tanks through it. YeeHAA!! She runs like a champ! Don't really have any complaints so far, seems like a tough truck. Loud as hell with pipe on it. Takes a little getting used to, after driving the 2wd RC10. Different ball game all-together. Got the 2spd tranny to kick in up the street, but flipped trying to turn around! What a blast!

into a tree that is........

For $50? man id buy a maxx for that price.

Yeah 50 bucks. Trees are not out of the picture. Figured I'd sell it, since most people didn't have much good to say about it, but I like it. All I had to do was put the Atomik body (20.00) on it, a new plug, and new body posts (6.00). Radio and everything was included.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your new "toy". I am never going to get past hearing you baught a T maxx for 50 bucks. Have fun!

Good to hear your $50 investment didn't turn into a money pit. I also like the camo paint scheme, looks cool.

Without Tmaxx's I dont know if alot of us Mt'ers would be here. I know for a fact that with my first nitro being a maxx, I learned ALOT. Still one of the best platforms to work on. There nice trucks, just have alot of weak points compaired to others, but for some extra $$, you can redo the weak spots. Or most of them anyway

I got to admit the Mxx was my first MT which lead me to others. Just have fun with her and drive her till your hearts content!!!

The T-Maxx was my first MT, hell it was the only choice when I got it. I actually had three of them at one time, talk about going broke buying parts. I still have my first one, or whats left of it, since damn near every single part has been replace with a better aftermarket part, lol. I'll never get rid of it for a few reasons, it was my first MT, I have spent insane money on it I can never recoup, and now it is actually a bashworthy truck.

You got a killer deal! Enjoy that sucker, even if you do have to put a few bucks in it, your way ahead of the game.

I'm one of the "first Maxx" club, too and I always thought mine was cool. Although I did sell it to step up to a big-block Savage. For the deal you got, you made out awesome. You'll have tons of fun with it.

I too am in the same boat that Candymans' in. I had one of the first generation Maxx's. The one that came with a clear body. That truck was a lot of fun. It was raced almost every weekend. The truck was a total blast. Nothing like 6 maxxs' bumbling around a track. The slowness and overall bouncing made it a hilarious class to watch, and even more fun to race. Almost like racing radio shack trucks.

Anyways, I too sold the maxx to step up to a Savage. For the money (I got mine for free, since I worked for a hobby shop, on the premise that I ran it and let people see it run. Kind of a 'this is fun, you should have fun too' deal), it was one of the best R/Cs I've owned.

This is the early Maxx that came with a clear body. The original owner did a nasty paint job on it, I couldn't bear to run it. I ordered the Atomik body before I even got the Maxx. I figured even if it was a piece of poop, at least it would be a good-looking piece of poop!

Congrats on the Maxx, man! $50.00 for a running Maxx is a helluva deal! Personally, I like 'em, even with having to wrench on the thing. They've got their own personality and are just fun truck to own, IMO.

I figure, for every Maxx owner that bitches about how often they break, etc. (and I'm one of them) you'll find that these same people will see a Gremlin rolling down the road, start laughing and saying what a piece of crap those are, but secretly wish they had one!

Have fun with it, man!

i still have my og. maxx it now a 21 wouldn't trade or sell it for all the rc in china
