Okay, I've been into RCs for awhile....usually if the engine doesn't start within 5 minutes.....its messed up or i missed something big. So heres my deal.
While doing a engine check up, I removed the backplate, rotor start, head, and gave it all a look over. The pin that goes into the crank shaft that touches the rotostart plate fell out. Welllll......I stick it back in and it go all the way into the crank shaft, needless to say the rotostart wont activate. So I take a pin from the wheel lug, and place it in....perfect fit and rotostart runs.
Engine was running the day before the check up great. So I turn it over.....mess with awhile like i normally do and usually starts up. Now it will SOUND like its about to start up and even kick over and imediatly go back to starting. So it like "BRAP, Brop, BRAP, Brop, etc" The rotostart even kinda locks up.
I'm not new to RCs and can get them to run usually 99% of the time but this Savage has me throw for a loop. I'm still kinda new to S25s.
Heres the Specs - Savage 25, 20% fuel, not flooded, not lean, good glow plug, good plug iginitor, throttle setting correct, fresh fuel line.
Thats about it.....Maybe a air leak somewhere? I've reinstalled the head and backplate on tight.....possibility crank shaft pin I used is too long and not letting it seal correctly?
I can take video with sound tommorrow if that would help witht he dianostic
