Ok guys. Being the analytical person I tent to be I would like to get some feedback on a new project I have started.

I will be creating an entire web site from scratch very soon with the tools I have available from my machine here at home. I have access to some of the following programs and others as well:

Adobe Photoshop CS 7.0
Chameleon (plugin for CS 7.0)
Image Ready with current patches.
Adobe Image Ready 7.0 with several plugin packages.

All these coupled with my CyberLinx Power package should be more than sufficient to create something really nice and productive while looking good at the same time.

What I am looking for from you guys, the overall demographic is an overall feedback venue. Over the next few days I will be posting images for you to look at and see if you like. To see what you feel might be changed or what you really like about a certain component.

I have already selected an overall layout for the site. There will be a lot of images to display and I would like to keep the home page as clutter free as possible while drawing a LOT of viewers. I plan to create a standard Bullet/category layout to superimpose on a very light monochromatic background for the front page- while taking the bullet element out for the rest of the site. Here is a basic render of what the overall style will look like.

I also plan to use this light gray dragon in the background as a basis for the
"Water Mark" that will be displayed behind all the images that need to be proprietary in nature. This will NOT be the finished look, but I have obtained Copyright info from the artist and will simply take the dragon from this image and warp/bend it as I see fit and lighten it to an extreme amount.

Let me know what you guys want to see in a website! ALL OF YOU!

This is your chance to provide some quality, critical feedback on something that very well might end up styled after your very own opinions!

This WILL be an Radio Controlled themed website and I know this is our area of expertise so feel free to throw anything on the table- I am really really need some quality views here guys.

Also, let me know how this video plays on your machines. It was from a "code generator" and I am looking at integrating a standalone media port so no one has to hassle with outsourcing thier media- keeps it simple in many aspects.

PS: Video will play from Photobucket for you guys, the standalone is not integrated yet- it is small and should not cause any problems with media playback.

Have fun guys!

What will be the main subject of your website? Selecting a layout/style doesn't make much sense without having a subject in mind.

The video played fine for me.

Pretty much just a basic RC related site- with a large emphasis on graphics.

Its all about how you put the package together. Personally, I just leave a site when music starts to play. I dont like it. Takes away from the content unless music or video is the content.

I agree with Eddy, if I goto a site and a video or music starts to auto-play I close the window. If I want to listen to your choice of music or watch what you think is cool I'll press play, otherwise don't make me watch or listen to it.

As for the site feedback, doesn't look like you have a site so there's not much to give you feedback on minus what I just stated above. Make the site and get it uploaded then come back and let us know.

One last thing, you mention it will be heavy in graphics - why have you chosen this route over a more cleaner and accessible design?

Sounds like a cool website when ur speaking of graphics what kind of graphics do you mean?

PS: Usually I dont care for music or videos right a way but in this case this one is cool although I always have like Johnny Cash

Jonny Cash?

Who's that???

Ups just saw the video... sooory!

Music like that I can accept, but usually I run once the music starts :)

+1 on the music, I like the song but for some reason it still aggravated me...Had to turn the sound off just to type this
