How do i water proof a servo???...pictures would rock

thanks!

I use RVT blue silicon and I put a bead of it along the gap were the servo case connects and I put a dab on the hole that the servo wires go into.

yup i just plasti-dip mine. hold it by the wire and dip it until about 1 inch of the wire is covered also. hang it to dry and then just trim lightly around the drive to slip the horn on. use a dab of waterproof grease under the horn so that it stays sealed, you dont want to use an rtv here because it hardens and as soon as the horn moves it will break the seal, heavy grease will stay fluid and keep it sealed.

cool thanks, i have also been told that you can put balloons around them...have you heard this also?

I think the liquid tape is thinner so it might require more coats. It may not be as durable as the plasti-dip, though I've never used it couldn't say for sure. I use a balloon for my RX. Using a balloon for a servo would work it would just require a bit of work since you'd have to trim for the horn and then seal that with something pliable and that will hold the balloon in place.

Ice.
This is what I use. It's called Liquid Tape "Electrical" by Performix. (Lowes or the Depot)
I like to apply it on all the seams, screws, or you can do the whole servo.
NOT THE SHAFT of course!
Then when it comes to the shaft, I pack around it with heavy grease.
The grease will only last for the day. I would re pack it after every run.

I used the plastic dip in the past but it's hard to get off if you need to, and it's thick, and can make your servo get hot. also takes long to cure.
The liquid tape dries pretty fast.
