I plan on finishing the break-in on the street. Once my new RC Solutions rollcage gets here on Thursday I will switch to 15/49 for some bashing. But until then, I don't plan on doing any off road.

I'm going to have to figure out a way to heat the block when I go off road. I have to drive to get to my bashing grounds which is basically an area underneath an overpass with no electrical outlets. I have a butane flambe torch that I could try using but that might be too hot!

Plug a power inverter into your car and bring a hair dryer.

Yeah, its a nice engine. As for the grooves in the exhaust port, yes sweetdiesel, they're are supposed to be there. At least mine had them too. I love the blue of the engine. Very cool. This engine kicks ass.

The grooves are there to better match the shape of the port in the block to the port in the cylinder liner but it's incomplete. The grooves in some parts make the port in the block larger and beyond the perimeter of the exhaust port on the cylinder and in some areas not large enough. The cylinder liner upper edge is an upwards arch where as the upper edge of the port in the block is straight across. The difference looks like more than 1/32'' at the peak (direct center). This all affects flow and power. Most other areas look pretty good. This is pretty easy to fix without having to do a full port job. It's a good idea to smooth out those grooves like take down those peaks.

This isn't bad you just get what you pay for (the difference between the V-Spec and the Wasp28) and it looks like you get a fair bit for the price you pay for the 28.

I agree, you do get what you pay for but for what you pay for the Wasp ,.28 you getr a very powerful engine.

As for the break in, my carb wasn't smooth either, it is starting to smooth out now but its not a big deal. I also had to use a drill, but it started right up with the drill. After the first three tanks the roto start came and it didn't have quite enough so I had to loosen the plug and heat her up. No that break in is done this motor starts right up on the push of the button.

Well before I hit the fourth tank I switched the gearing back to 15/49. Finished break-in on tank 6 and finally gave her some WOT. OMFG, this engine has got some juice! It definitely has much more power throughout the RPM range than the S-25. It takes off like a rocket and second gear comes very quickly. And this is still running very rich. I'll wait about 5 more tanks until I lean her out some more but for now I am very impressed. I'll try to take some vid for you all this weekend so you can see how kick @ss this motor is!

I am in the process of mounting up my Wasp .28 in my savage form some snow fun :D. I figure my buggy can't quite handle more than an inch or two of snow so I'm putting my good servos and radio on my savage, along with my Wasp .28.

When I'm all done after christmas it'll have:

-RRP 14/49 Steel Spur/CB Combo
-Hot Bodies Threaded Aluminum Shocks
-Golden Horizons Aluminum Suspension Arms
-Megatech Aluminum Center Skid plate (took of the front and rear, they just bend)
-Dual Steel brakes
-Wasp .28
-XTM X-175 steering servo
-Hitec 645 throttel/brake servo

And I think thats it lol. Its gunna be sweet :D
