I'm looking in to getting a new engine soon and everyone on the forum is always talking about the Wasp .28 and I'm looking it to getting it but i can't tell if it is a roto start or not. Also which would be better roto start or pull start and finally why is it so much better then other .28 engines out there.

Thanks
Keith

well if you want ease the Rotostart but a well tuned engine and tuner can work with a Pullstart.

The hype of the wasp is what it is. There is the SH 28 as well. I am going to get the Fantom 27 personally. Works for my needs. High RPMs and great powers. Or I could go with the SH28... Still debating that one. The Wasp is a great motor. I have seen it run at my LHS. But remember a fast ride depends on gearing, tuning, suspension set up, fuel and a few other things.

I'm looking for more torque oposed to top speed but i want both which one is best for that?

The Novarossi TOP .28 is the best for low end torque, but the SH28 runs out of power fast, it has all of its power on the low end. The wasp is a good engine, has tons of power, and runs high rpms. All up to you.

The Wasp has plenty of torque, but it also has very high RPMs for some good top speed. From what I hear the SH.28 is a very torquey engine but it doesn't spin as many RPMs as the wasp.

Also take a look at the TOP .28, I hear it has execlent torque and high end too.

The SH28 sounds more like what you are looking for. It has 3.5 hp and maxxes out at 28,000. That is plenty of low end grunt.
