hey guys, I'm thinkin of gettin either the wasp or the picco. whats the lowest price that you have saw? I've been lookin and I've seen 189 as the lowest. any feedback will help thanks

ok thanks robmob, I've been lookin around and if i get a new engine I'm gettin the wasp. does anybody know of a website thats pretty cheap for the wasp? thanks anyway robmob

ok thats not really in my price range but it will have to do. trdstreetfighter, after watchin your vid, thats what convince me to get the wasp. haha thanks

I just bought a Wasp .26 from a guy on eBay already ported. His auction claims 15-20% more HP and torque than stock. It was 233 after shipping and insurance using Buy It Now. I haven't evn cranked it yet so I can't testify to its performance but it should be great. He also sells ported picco outlaws. eBay ID for him is ooban. Also...what spacer if any do I need to make the HPI rotostart work properly with this engine? Someone told me that people are just going to the hardware store getting a hex nut that will work. If it has to be turning I would rather have something with a bearing in it.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that most people say they prefer the wasp since Orion has much better customer support and they are basically the same engine. The guy I bought my ported wasp from also says the wasp has a 15% larger cooling head than the picco outlaw....I just like having a silver cooling head instead of purple...
 
Hey Vince. If your looking to save a few buck's and need more punch, Take a look at the Ofna Hyper 8 port.
Cost about $140-150. Its a kick ass engine.
Has a lot of bang for your buck
 
i might go with the hyper, can anybody tell me how much better it is than the .21 bb?

i can tell you because that was my upgrade. do the 3 shoe aluminum clutch set up with the money you saved from not buying the outlaw 26. it will be such a huge difference. you wont believe it!!
My friend went with the wasp and had a lot of modifying to do. after all the trouble, my truck still had just as much power and speed.
Ofna 8 port is a perfect fit. you wont be sorry.

okay... spacer is just a regular wheel hex for a 1/10th on road car..
Don't loose the spring when you take off the pull start

run 30% nitro

Get a Nova head... up to 40 degrees cooler.. silver too.. look at my gallery... all Nova head on all my big blocks...

Lightning hobbies gave me the Orion wasp .26 for the same price as the Picco since they were out of stock on Picco. $159.00. ThingkStormer hobbies has same low price. Wasp runs good and strong!
 
can anone tell me a link for the 8 port? haha i would look myself but my computer is pretty slow.thanks

A bud is running the 8 port on his tmaxx. I run the WASP 26 on my savage. I did some minnor porting and timming work w/ 30% nitro. He cannot touch me. You have to run 30% it will not run on 20%. I heard from Orion forum that 30% is somewhat recommended.
